After an hour or so of chatting it up in the hotel lobby, we made our way to Sake Tumi for some sushi and drinks. Let me just tell you about the awesomeness that is this restaurant - the atmosphere, the crowd, the food, the Goodbye Kitties! Seriously, it is such a great place (and as Julie mentioned, their website sooo does not do it justice!). I was a bit shocked to find such a place in Milwaukee as the last time I hung out in that area, we ended up eating at Cousins (there really was nothing else around... granted, the last time I was down there was oh, maybe in 1998ish). :P

The Viva La Mexico roll, along with a delicious Goodbye Kitty.

Mmmmm... nigiri.

The decadent and oh-so-lovely tempura pound cake with ice cream.
After a few hours (two? three? four? I completely lost track!), we made our way through a nasty snowstorm to the Blu Bar Lounge. It was mellow, had a great view of the city (although we couldn't see too much, thanks to the storm), and had a menu filled with "sassy martinis." It was the perfect way to end the night.
Of course, the restaurant & bar weren't the only good things - Julie is definitely one awesome chica! We spent the night swapping unbloggable stories and giggling like a bunch of thirteen-year-old schoolgirls. I'm so glad I was finally able to meet her and can't wait until we have the chance to see each other again!

How can you not enjoy a night that involves one blogger making another blogger take a photo of Poseidon with a pierced nipple in a bathroom stall? ;)

So glad you both had a great time!
yay! that picture of the tempura, i'm in the background and you can just SEE me saying "OMG I am so freaking full but boy howdy am I going to eat this." :)
Sounds like a blast!
That sounds like fun, and that sushi looks so good! I lived in Milwaukee during my soph year of college while I went to Marquette, and I'd LOVE to get back and try all the restaurants I couldn't afford as a 20-year old, and then all the bars I couldn't get into!!!
Hmmm I love sushi. I will have to check this out when I go home in a few weeks.
sounds like lots of fun!
Oo- I am intrigued by Goodbye Kitty. I must google. :)
