Five good things

1. The Kia hamster commercial & the newest Old Spice commercial

There is just so much awesomeness...Hamsterdam Ave, the Hamstar hoodie, the hamster in pearls, the cheerleaders. This commercial is pure gold! It never fails to make me smile... and depending on my mood, I may just bust a few moves along with them. HamSTAR! Woot-woot!

Romantic puppy surprise?!? Hell to the yeah!

Seriously, I am a sucker for the OS guy - the first time I saw the latest incarnation, I proclaimed him to be "dreamy" to M (and in response, he called him a few unsavory names that I won't repeat). ;-)

2. The IKC dog show (which is always filled with tons of awesomeness & cuteness)

3. Mexican Coke

We refer to it in my house as liquid crack.
I may have developed a slight addiction.

4. Amazing food
Serrano ham & fig salad and the
Ensalada verde salad @ Mercat

I'm very lucky to live in a city with a plethora of amazing restaurants (I'm also lucky to have a group of friends who are just as foodie crazy as I am!). The latest crop of visits included The Bristol (the duck fat fries are heaven sent!), Girl & The Goat (I now completely understand why Stephanie Izard won TC), and Mercat a la Planxa (everything is orgasmically good!).

5. Something Borrowed

I don't usually get excited about movies adapted from books I've enjoyed (I've made that mistake and been burned too many times), but this one actually looks... well, good. I may be wrong, but I do think this one is going to a winner. After all, Emily Giffin told me in person (when I met her last year) that it's going to be fantastic... she wouldn't lie to me, right?!? :-)

I am equally excited and nervous about Something Borrowed. I love her books, but esp those first two. I even bought it for my mom for Christmas (and I'm making her go to the movie when it comes out. Beats taking husband). But I will be very sad if the movie sucks. You and I will have to compare notes after we see it!

What an fascinating post. Such a variety of interests (if you can truly call a commercial interesting).

Thanks for coming to visit.
