Last week in shoes

This is a feature I wanted to incorporate during last year's round of NaBloPoMo, but then I screwed up my heel on a hiking trip, so my shoe selection was severely limited. This year? Oh, it's on, baby! :-)

(click to embiggin photos)

Top left: from the Clarks Artisan collection - I think they came out four or five years ago. I love them because they're very comfortable and can easily be dressed up (oh, and look at the sweet little flower details!); however, I rarely wear them because I have so many pairs of black Mary Janes.

Top right: Keen Harvest MJ II. They are my newest acquisition & my current favorites - they're just so much fun!

Bottom left: Double strap Clark Mary Jane heels. They look a bit more brown in the pic than they really are - they're more of dark maroon.  The bloody leg was for a Halloween party. :-)

Top left: patent leather Born Susy Mary Janes. I picked them up on clearance at DSW during the summer and just got around to wearing them for the first time last week. They are super-cute (I love patent leather!) and super comfortable. Win!

Top right: purple suede Aerosoles. I love high heel shoes, but I cannot wear ones with little skinny heels; they have to have some support & stability (I have terrible balance). Aerosoles are perfect - they are made for walking (which is important for those of us in the city) and there are so many cute styles.

Bottom left: Merrell Encore Mary Janes (canvas). They're not the most exciting shoes, but they're great for running errands. They were the only shoes I wore all weekend, as I was confined to the house Friday-Sunday (thanks to a nasty respiratory virus). I did manage to escape for two hours for a quick trip to the post office and Target, which was really, really exciting (I was going stir crazy!).

As you can clearly see, I love Mary Janes! I swear I have other styles, but I will admit that the majority of my non-wintery shoes are MJs. However, I didn't realize until now that I wear MJs almost every day of the week... but then again, I have to get them all in now because soon it will be cold and time for boots, boots, and more boots. Also, you may notice my lack of gym shoes. Nasty virus kept me cooped up in the house and from working out all week - ugh! I went back to the gym tonight, so next week's edition will include some of my gym shoe options (which really aren't all that exciting - I rotate between two pairs)... at least they're not Mary Janes though. :-)

Those are all so cute! I love the plaid ones. My go-to heels these days are Dansko MJs--I can go all day in those.
